Nalu is the worst ship in history. Natsu deserves someone who isn't always a damsel in distress. She also nags way to much and has anger issues. The ship is so unrealistic, plus Lucy is a bitch that thinks to highly of herself.
Natsu deserves someone who’s not a damsel in distress? Lucy, is not a damsel in distress. Lucy is a strong, independent mage who grew up in a house where she was neglected and couldn’t use or train her magic unless everyone else in Fairy Tail.
Need I remind you that without Lucy, everyone would be dead?
On Tenrou, she saved Wendy’s life. Her future counterpart came from the future to warn everyone about the dragons attack. She sacrificed her strongest spirit, that was also her first spirit and her mother’s key, to save everyone. She defeated one of the nine demons of Tartaros by summoning 3 spirits and the Celestial Spirit King right afterwards… and you have the right to call her a damsel in distress and Natsu doesn’t deserve her?!
Need I remind you that Lucy is the first person Natsu can open up too? The first person (besides Happy) that hes been this close too? While his nakama at the guild loves him, they don’t treat him the way they truly should. Lucy showed Natsu the way he should be treated. She accepted him, was nice to him. Thats why hes so attached to her. Saying Natsu doesn’t deserve Lucy is like saying Natsu doesn’t deserve happiness.
Nags and anger issues? What exactly does she nag about? And anger issues? You’re seriously telling me that Lucy Heartfilia has anger issues? Have you ever met Natsu, Erza, Gajeel, Gray, Laxus… the list goes on and on. Lucy does not have anger issues compared to everyone else in the guild.
How exactly does Lucy think highly of herself? She doesn’t think shes as strong as anyone in the guild. If anything she doesn’t think as high as she should of herself. Shes strong, independent, beautiful, totally not a bitch.
I don’t understand where you’re getting all these facts about Lucy, but I can tell its not from the manga.
I love NaLu and will defend it to the end of the Earth. They both found a home in each other. I don’t care if you don’t ship them, but you can not deny that they have a special bond with each other.
I don’t even know where to start complaining, so I’ll just lay out the highlights of the chapter:
Erza’s father was from a neighboring country and married Eileen due to an arranged marriage
Belserios died in unknown circumstances at some point between the two chapters
Acnologia appeared and decimated both sides, pro and anti cohabitation, also between chapters
The war also ends between chapters
Once Eileen started to show visible signs of turning into a dragon, her husband and her kingdom turned against her.
She was imprisoned and tortured for three years.
She is pregnant during this entire time but uses her magic to keep the pregnancy from progressing any further (or from losing the fetus, I suppose)
After three years, they decide to execute her. Her husband, furious that she keeps insisting that she is pregnant, stabs her in the stomach, resulting in the scar we see today.
Enraged, Eileen turns into a dragon completely, and escapes. She lives out 400 years in dragon form (while, I assume, still using magic to keep her pregnancy in stasis).
After 400 years, she meets Zeref, who returns her to a human appearance, though he notes that she is not a human anymore, no matter what she looks like.
However, after returning to a human appearance, Eileen found that she could no longer taste food or sleep, and she felt itchy or cold at random.
Losing her mind, she came up with a plan to Enchant herself onto her unborn, human child, taking over its human body. (This is the meaning of “I am you, and you are me.”) (Thus, Eileen finally decided to give birth, I assume.)
However, she failed in the enchantment and abandoned Erza since she no longer had a use for her.
Erza is unmoved by this entire story and simply says that she is grateful that Eileen gave her life and that she abandoned her, so that Erza could meet her real family (Fairy Tail).
Notable points:
Since Eileen is not noted as being “inhuman” before her transformation, she most likely continue to age at a normal rate until that point. This means the Dragon King Festival war, from beginning to end, lasted less than 20 years.
Acnologia appeared in the middle of it and put an end to it. In the one panel silhouette of him, he is shown as a human. Since it’s feared that Eileen will become like Acnologia due to the beginning of her transformation, he must have already become a dragon at that point, and also been able to change back. It’s not clear why his transformation was so much faster than Eileen’s or why he had such superior control over it.
Eileen was not being held in magic-sealing cuffs, since she was able to use magic to keep her pregnancy in stasis. It’s unclear why she didn’t escape, being a dragon slayer and a grand enchanter against guards who do not seem to be magic users at all.
Strange physical characteristics seem quite common in present day Ishgar (all the cat ears, Warrod is a tree, one of Grimoire Heart flunkies was a chicken but no one commented), but it doesn’t seem to have been the case in the past.
Eileen’s dragon appearance is nothing like Belserion.
Eileen and Zeref most likely did not meet in Alvarez, since there’s no mention of her crossing the ocean.
Big questions:
What in the world was going on with the mentality of the Dragunov people? For one, they side with a foreigner over their queen. For another, the entire dynamic about their view of dragons is unclear. They cite Acnologia as a reason why they’re afraid of Eileen, but Acnologia specifically hunts dragons and Eileen states she’s a friend of dragons (it’s not particularly relevant since they’re all dead). Also, they must have had numerous other dragon slayers on their side, and Acnologia is an exception. The fact that her husband uses “dragon woman” as an insult is odd in itself, since dragons were their honored comrades for generations. When “human” is not the only possible default, deviation from human should not be so violently rejected, overall.
On a simpler point, if they were so afraid of her, why didn’t they just execute her?
Why didn’t Eileen escape, really? She’s tortured for three years, but she can still use magic and her main goal it to protect her unborn child, and she doesn’t run?
What happened with pretty much anything we care about? Acnologia? The dragon parents? Anna? Zeref? The demons? Heck, Belserion?
Well, to be honest, it’s not questions I have. It’s more like I’m astounded at how stupid and melodramatic this entire chapter is, without having a single genuine emotional moment.
Also add WHY ACNO didn’t try to track her down and kill her. Or know she was a Dragon
Whilst some people from the fandom are either excited or feeling rather down because of what happened in today’s chapter, I am sat here thinking about Zeref’s sad little face. Just look at his eyes, so precious. Makes me want to cry just by looking at it.
